Welcome to the Alpha Xi Delta Sigma chapter blog! As we approach the end of the year we wanted to look back on this past school year and recognize our sisters for all of their hard work and remember how special the 2022-2023 school year was.
August 2022
As the summer came to a close we were excited to be back on campus with our sisters! We kicked off the year with work week - we had a great time getting ready for primary recruitment! We were able to see how hard our recruitment team had been working over the summer and loved getting to know our sisters better. Our recruitment team planned an amazing work week and got us even more excited for recruitment! After a fun week, we were excited to celebrate being back at Iowa and start the school year off right!
September 2022
In September, we were excited to be back at Kinnick cheering on the football team! Between gamedays and classes, we were excited to kick back and relax at our first date party of the year! The beach date party was a great way to unwind before the beginning of Fall Recruitment at the end of the month!
October 2022
We kicked off October with fall recruitment! Our hard work during work week paid off, and we proudly welcomed PC’22 into our sisterhood! Our Bid Day was a slam dunk - we could not have been happier! We also had our first sisterhood with our new members - apple picking at Wilson’s Orchard, and had a great time with them at their first Date Party!
November 2022
We started November with our event: Mac and Cheese with the AXiDs. We had a great time raising money for the Kindly Hearts Initiative, a cause we all hold close to our hearts. Next, we had so much fun at Dude’s Day - we were so excited to show our friends and family why we love Alpha Xi Delta so much! This month our families also grew with Big Little Reveal! It was so great to welcome PC’22 into our Alpha Xi Delta families that make our sisterhood so special.
December 2022
We finished up the semester with a busy month! December began with the initiation of our new members. It was so exciting to watch these girls grow into Alpha Xi Delta women over the semester, and we are so proud to be their sisters! We celebrated the end of the semester with our semi-formal date party! We had a fabulous time and we applaud our date party team for their hard work this semester. Finally, we wrapped up the year with our Holiday COXI. The event was a great way to relax with our sisters and celebrate with each other before break!
January 2023
After a relaxing winter break, we were so happy to be back in Iowa City with our sisters again! We had an exciting month installing our new executive council and our new officers!
February 2023
In February, we celebrated Spring Recruitment and had a sweet Spring Bid Day! We were so excited to welcome more women who make Alpha Xi Delta special into our sisterhood. We also hosted a successful cookie sale for the Kindly Hearts Initiative! We finished the month with an exciting NASCAR date party!
March 2023
We kicked March off with a relaxing Spring Break! After break, we hit the ice skating rink- this sisterhood was such a great way to return back to Iowa City! We finished the month with an all-chapter retreat! We started working for Fall Recruitment, and strengthened our sisterhood with some fun team-building activities. It was so refreshing to take a break and focus on being together!
April 2023
We had a very busy April! We kicked the month off with Ladies Weekend! We loved having so many important women in our lives in Iowa City for the weekend! We celebrated Alpha Xi Delta’s 130th birthday with a beautiful Founder’s Day! This month, we also initiated our Spring pledge class. Initiation is such a special ceremony, and we were so excited to share it with these women! We finished off the month with Formal! Our formal team planned a gorgeous event at Little Lights on the Lane, and we loved being together to celebrate the past year at Alpha Xi Delta!
